United To Achieve Social Mobility

Meet the team

With Insight Education aims to create an educational and professional landscape where the representation of black-heritage students is truly reflective of the potential available.

  • Decades after her own university choice was coloured by her fears of fitting in, Christine was disheartened to discover that such concerns still hinder black-heritage students from attending top universities.

Christine is a TeachFirst Ambassador and sits on several other diversity and education boards including Causeway Education and the AccessHE Race Equity forum.

In 2020, Christine was awarded the Warrior Women ChangeMaker award and was recently recognised as one of the WISE100 top female social entrepreneurs in the UK.

  • Keji completed both her undergraduate degree in Sociology and her PGCE in Post Compulsory Education and Training at Nottingham Trent University where she learnt the importance of developing social mobility and encouraging students to thrive under difficult circumstances. Her experience in working as a careers leader has taught her to enhance the proficiency of career education for all students. Keji considers every opportunity to work with young minds to be a privilege, whilst forming and maintaining meaningful relationships.

  • Tomas fulfilled his dream of coming to the UK after completing his undergraduate degree in Prague, Czech Republic. Currently, Tomas is studying for his Master's degree in Project Management. He has been working in the education sector for three years helping students get onto their dream university courses which he finds very fulfilling as, he feels that, so many lack the support they need to understand that their dreams can become a reality.

  • Andrea has a Master's degree in Digital Culture and Society from King's College London and has years of experience developing campaigns across multiple platforms. Her work as a university lecturer on the outskirts of Peru's capital exposed her to the transformative power and societal impact of education, particularly for those who have limited access to it. Andrea believes that access to education is a privilege that everyone should have and she advocates for its expansion across the entire spectrum of society.

Meet our Student Ambassadors

We actively collaborate with a group of talented black-heritage ambassadors, amplifying their voices and gaining invaluable access to their fresh, current experiences and outlooks.

  • Kacey is currently a psychology undergraduate at The University of Manchester. As a student who previously took part in the Insight2Uni mentorship programme, she has uncovered a true passion for dismantling barriers in the education system for marginalised members of society. As she understands how invaluable it is to encourage students from these backgrounds to see how they are worthy enough to become a part of their dream institutions.

  • David is an Electrical and Electronic Engineering undergraduate at the University of Manchester, currently undertaking a placement at Jaguar Land Rover. A previous Foresight Mentor and current Insight2Uni mentor, he thoroughly enjoyed the experience and found providing insight and guidance he would've relished when he was younger rewarding. David believes representation in the positions one aspires to get to and recognizing the importance of what one has already achieved is essential for social mobility.
